Money saving tips for tourists visiting London

Getting Around
Most tourists visiting London plan their stay with very busy itineraries and the best way of getting around these exciting destinations is by public transport. You can get a pass that combines all London transport (excluding cabs), helping you save money whilst travelling around the city. The Visitor Oyster Card is the cheapest way for a visitor to travel across London. The Oyster Card is a 'Smartcard', storing credit to pay for the journeys you do. The Card can be used on the London tube & overground, DLR and buses across London and it automatically calculates the cheapest fare for all the journeys you make in a single day.
If you're travelling with your children and they are under the age of 10, they can travel for free as long as you have a valid Visitor Oyster Card. For more information on Visitor Oyster Cards and information on other Oyster Cards available to you and your family, please visit www.visitorshop.tfl.gov.uk
London is famous for its black cabs; however, these are expensive and only need to be driven in once. For the cheaper option, you can get into a minicab; just make sure they are fully licensed. Minicabs will take you anywhere in London for less.
